The green was her color, the turtle his luck and glasses frames from striking his hallmark. Jole Veneziani, stylist among the founders of Italian haute couture which helped to bring the made in Italy in the world, is celebrated by an exhibition in Milan.
A leader in the creation of Italian high fashion during 1950s and 1960s and a pioneer in establishing Italian exports around the world, ‘Jole Veneziani – Alta Moda e Società a Milano’ will display period garments, sketches, photos, films, documents and dressmaking objects.
High fashion and society in Milan, Villa Necchi Campiglio until 24 November. The clothes of couturiers are well integrated in the elegant setting of the Milanese villa owned by FAI, which includes in its lounges soft silk evening dresses and cocktail dresses embroidered with ultra-modern for the years in which they have seen the light.
