Milan Design Week is setting up for a couple of new surprises, among them the presentation set by Mooi to happen during Salone del Mobile at a new location in Milan’s design district Brera. Know more about what the brand has in store for the main event.
For this event set to happen during Milan Design Week, Mooi will be introducing a new member of the Extinct Animal family, the Indigo Macaque, as well as showcasing two new designs, under the umbrella of More Moooi Moments: the BFF Sofa and The Party. The showcase promises to be, in Mooi’s own words:
“(…) a sense-tickling brand experience, that will fully submerge this year’s visitors in the world of Mooi”
When it comes to the location of this event, it will be held in the Mediateca St. Teresa located in Brera design district. The Mediateca used to be a church in the past, having been converted to a digital library. If you attend this event during Milan Design Week, or just happen to visit Milan at a different time you will be able to see that the building still retains many of its the original architectural characteristics, among them graceful arches and a dome-shaped ceiling.
Mooi consists of a lighting brand created by worldwide acclaimed designer Marcel Wanders in 2001 alongside fellow colleague Casper Vissers. This is one of the most famous lighting brands in the world with some of the most unique products to show for it. Wanders, the creator of the brand will also be present at Milan Design Week to unveil “Nightbloom”, the new lighting project between himself and Lladró, set to be revealed during Euroluce 2019.
