For Milan Design Week 2019, Normann Copenhagen will be exhibiting at the venue of Superstudio Più. The showcase will have a colourful landscape which is inspired by the garden designs of Brazilian artist-gardener Roberto Burle Marx.
The exposition area will be featuring bespoke floral arrangements created by art and flower studio Tableau Cph which will be dressing the furnishings. Aside from a couple of novelties that the brand has in store for Milan Design Week, the showcase will be exhibiting many classics and bestsellers such as the front-padded lounge chair ‘Pad’, the ‘Silo’ pouffes and even the ‘Studio’ chair. These furniture pieces will all be displayed to show the diversity of the collections.
The main highlight of this exposition set to happen during Milan Design Week, however, will be the special collection created as an intersection of art and design: we’re talking about The Normann x Brask Art Collection, which consists of a collaboration between Normann Copenhagen, art curator Jens-Peter Brask and ten international artists who have worked alongside the brand to convey their artistic practice in a series of objects that will be revealed for the first time in this showcase. Among the series of objects that are part of this colorful and eclectic collection, you will be able to find new original concepts, from saucy playing cards over peculiar vases to even seeing a sculptural six-legged side table.
There’s also the fact that in 2019, Normann Copenhagen celebrates its 20-year anniversary. The company was created all the way back in 1999 by Poul Madsen and Jan Andersen, both of whom remain deeply involved in all areas of the design business. You can even have the chance to meet the two creators face to face if you go to Superstudio Piu during Milan Design Week!
Superstudio Piu is one of Tortona’s biggest showcases during Milan Design Week counting with a huge area of 15.000 sq.mt which welcomes over 100.000 registered visitors every year. Over the course of the years during Milan Design Week, this event has seen some of the top companies and designers participate.
You can see this showcase for yourself from April 9-14 of 2019 in Via Tortona 27,
20144, Milan.
