Through a few days Milan Design Agenda, wrote about fashion and design, but what if we could put together this 2 areas in one? That’s what Fragile Milano it’s about. A new home has risen at via San Damiano, 2 (corner of Corso Monforte), to gather and offer to collectors, enthusiasts and professionals of interior design the best of Italian design production of the 20th century.
The Fragile space reverses the traditional showroom concept to become an active container of original discoveries. A complete retail concept created by Alessandro &Francesco Mendini, marked by a strong, ironic personality, in tune with the spirit of Fragile and its collection of precious design furnishings and objects.
Sitting just two blocks from Milan’s Piazza San Babila, the new location – whose styling has been done by Studio Pepe– thus expresses a vivid sense of personality, offering a prestigious selection of furnishings, lighting, jewelry andornaments created by the greatest designers of the last century. Visitors can see rare collector’s items by Max Ingrand, Gio Ponti, Franco Albini, BBPR and Gino Sarfatti.
For the opening of the space, a new website has also been prepared, www.fragilemilano.com, to offer a visually and conceptually interesting experience, a virtual store that combines the immediacy of e-commerce with a relationship based on expertise and openness, which has always been the true link between Fragile and its clientele.
