If you’re reading Milan Design Agenda articles, you certainly noticed that we’re updating our Milan Shopping guide. In the last weeks, we gone from Dolce & Gabbana neoclassic store, to Philipp Plein Milan Boutique, making a quick stop at Doucal’s new vintage shop. Now, it’s time to go back to basics, to Italian Fashion Heritage. Italian luxury menswear house of Ermenegildo Zegna unveils the Couture Room designed by Peter Marino to host the Ermenegildo Zegna Couture collection by Stefano Pilati at its Milan Global Store in Via Montenapoleone.
The new concept blends the expertise and traditional heritage of Ermenegildo Zegna with the industrial world. The result is a skillful use of exclusive materials in an ivory colour palette, such as the gouged Satinwood, mixed with antique bronze and dark metals to create a luxurious and intimate atmosphere. The Couture Room allows customers to browse the new collection in luxurious surroundings, which feature hand-made wool and silk carpets and vintage armchairs by Tobia Scarpa and Osvaldo Borsani. (see more here )
Following the success of the Milan Couture Room, Ermenegildo Zegna will open a second Couture Room in Osaka, Japan, later this month, followed by openings in other cities around the world later this year.
