Studio Jacques Garcia is best known for the outstanding and forward-thinking work they have produced for the hotel sector. Around the globe, Jacques Garcia has styled and decorated some of the most prominent hotels. Today, we honor this legendary interior designer, architect, and inventor who, with his exquisite interiors, set the way for future generations.
Jacques Garcia has demonstrated incredible talent and appreciation for drawing and works of art at a very young age. He created and furnished his grandparents’ home when he was eight years old. He later improved his expertise and education in the field by attending a school of interior design and later, applied arts. However, this was truly his very first experience working in interior design.
Following the completion of his education, Garcia went on to work for a firm of modern architects and started creating the interiors of hotels like Le Méridien and Royal Monceau in Paris. He was also in charge of designing the restaurant and Hôtel Costes’ decor. His style starts to take shape more distinctly, seductively, and rather distinctly at this point. Garcia also created the interiors for the Fouquet restaurant and the Hotel Majestic.
He also developed a passion for collecting royal artifacts and furniture that had been scattered after the French Revolution. He was made a commander in the Order of Arts and Letters and a chevalier in the Légion d’honneur for his accomplishments. The interiors of the Château de Versailles and the Louvre Museum were recently renovated and redesigned by the designer. He worked on the 35 rooms of the famed museum in the first example using furniture from the 18th century while helping with the private apartments of the Château in the second.
L’Chandelier is a dreamy, elegant and luxurious lightning piece, incomparable and impressive as the romantic Champs-Élysées avenue. L’Chandelier offers a fine balance of warm sophistication and metal edginess. Infinitely beautiful. Classical. Exquisite.
