Salone Del Mobile. Milano Shanghai is a 3-day event happening on November 20nd-22nd at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. The major purpose of this event is to showcase a selection of top Italian companies, representing the pinnacle of Made in Italy and top quality manufacturing, providing the Chinese Market a unique experience, and with an exhibition designed to introduce the Chinese Visitors to the beauty, the quality, the luxury and the elegance of the Italian Way of Living.
This year’s exhibition’s programme includes a number of opportunities for listening and exchange with the Master Classes, an event consolidated by the Salone del Mobile. Milano, in which leading Italian and international architects share with the public their thoughts and views on hot topics concerning the development of the sector in China and in the world.
This year these masterclasses at Salone Del Mobile. Milano Shanghai will be held by Ferruccio Laviani, Rodolfo Dordoni, and Patricia Urquiola. An equal number of talented Chinese designers will explore different but synergic visions and thoughts on the development of the design industry in Italy, in China and around the world.
SaloneSatellite Shanghai, which provides another opportunity for dialogue, will be back, brimming with expectations and projects from talented designers under 35, as young Chinese designers, university and design school students showcase their projects. The top three, chosen by a jury of sectoral professionals, will receive SaloneSatellite Shanghai Awards and an invitation to take part in the 2019 edition of SaloneSatellite in Milan.
But one of the most important parts of this event is, in fact, the exhibition of furniture. You’ll be glad to know that the protagonists of the new edition will be 119 top Italian brands (72 design brands and 47 xLux/Classico Brands) chosen to showcase their very best products for total immersion in the beauty and quality, luxury and elegance of Made in Italy.
