Remember when we’ve brought you a sneak peek at Nightbloom, the new lighting project between Marcel Wanders and Lladró? If you’ve missed this project at Euroluce 2019 then have a look at some amazing images of this unique lighting project.
Nightbloom was, in essence, a project that involved close cooperation between both Marcel Wanders and his Creative Director, Gabriel Chiave in order to create a unique lighting project and concept. Within this collection, there are lamps of many styles, including pendants, wall sconces, and even floor lamp which is evocative of flower petals unfurling at nightfall.
The main concept behind the Nightbloom concept was to capture the essence of movement, something that both Wanders and Chiave felt was reflected in the history of Lladró. Specifically in the way that the company has successfully used porcelain to communicate the concept of moving through design, which was a unique seen as this medium is usually seen as being very rigid.
The products of Nightbloom are amazing in the sense that they are a celebration of both the delicate dance of unfurling petals and also of the blissful beauty of nature itself. They are like flowers of the night, blooming, growing and exhibiting the beauty of their petals in a nightfall-like ambiance. Hence the name Nightbloom!
