Salone del Mobile 2017 best events – Palazzo Litta at Fuorisalone


Less than one month tear us apart from the biggest Milan furniture fair and its Milan Design Week 2017. From 4th to 9th of April, Milan will host Salone del Mobile 2017, and inside of the design week, there’s a few design events that deserves your fully attention.

Designers from around the world for the fourth edition of A Matter of Perception. Guests of honor architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro with their first project in Italy for the courtyard of the baroque palace.

Back for the fourth consecutive year the appointment with A Matter of Perception , the collective exhibition produced by Moscow Partners and DAMN magazine at Palazzo Litta this year explores the theme “Linking Minds“, the so-called elective affinities that arise between designers, companies and workshops.

Americans architects, struggling with them their first project in Italy, will cover the space with a marquee that will be the meeting point for a series of meetings and connect Teatro Litta crossing the courtyard clock. Doubling, in fact, the exhibition area of the exhibition incorporating the theater near the foyer and the café-restaurant where the architect  Elisa Ossino will install a strong visual character. A Teatro Litta will meet  Michele De Lucchi , Andrea Branzi and Francesca Whale Arista , who will investigate the aesthetic theme of death with students at Politecnico di Milano.

Like every year, ample space for international talent. It starts with the eighth edition of the Belgian collective ‘ Belgium is Design ‘ which, under the title Belgitude , propose original collaborations between ten workshops and designers, including Xavier Lust and Muller Van Severen. Space also for the design schools, represented this year by the ‘ ECAL in Lausanne, the Royal College of Art in London and the Design Academy Eindhoven with an urban mobility plan for  Punkt. , The Swiss brand “low-tech” which also will set up a library open to the public and a relaxation area designed by Jasper Morrison.

Many collective exhibitions. From Surface & Interface , produced by  Valresa with RED AEDE (the Spanish ADI, for instance), with nine Spaniards creative projects and as many Iberian companies, in  Genesis , the project launch of Ars fabricandi, new Belgian brand that brings together the work numerous researchers Fabrica.

But it does not end there. In the halls of beautiful Lombard bloodhound style building you will see the latest project of García Cumini for Cesar Arredamenti , the joint work of the Finnish designer Ilkka Suppanen and Italian designer Raffaella Mangiarotti for Manerba ( Linking The South and The North ), and the ‘ olfactory installation of the French brand Diptyque.
