GIORGETTI: SALONE DEL MOBILE 2022 HIGHLIGHTS
The idea behind this Piero Lissoni project is to give voice to the industrial soul by emphasizing its architectural structure and designing the showroom as a massive theatre space. The spaces were expanded and new colors were chosen, while the cement floor allows it to easily integrate with other materials and objects (fabrics, carpets, etc.) because the goal is to rotate the products frequently and offer ever new settings. Light is an essential component of the project, and the selection focuses on a variety of decorative lamps to create warm and welcoming settings for the collection’s products. At the same time, backlit walls flank the space, creating a surprise effect.
Piero Lissoni New York’s project involves the interior design of two residential towers, one facing the ocean and the other overlooking the yacht marina. The goal was to design environments that were comfortable and welcoming, sophisticated places for relaxation and socialization, introducing a new lifestyle opportunity for the area of Pompano Beach while maintaining the same language but defined individually to lend a specific character to each building.
Arborea is a residential development by Piero Lissoni in Itaim, a neighborhood of São Paulo, Brazil. The interiors harmoniously interact with the surrounding architecture. The entrance, which is immersed in dense and rich vegetation and gently guides visitors into the building, already demonstrates a flowing continuity between inside and outside. The forms and styles of Brazilian modernism are reinterpreted in a contemporary key and linked through the careful use of colors and materials, such as local woods and stones, which accentuate the sophisticated atmospheres, in the public areas of the residential tower.
The café/bar Miscela d’Oro is located in the heart of Messina, in an area that has long been a favorite gathering place for the city’s residents. Piero Lissoni Associati’s intervention focuses on the ground floor of a small building with a Baroque façade, emphasizing the contrast between the ornate style of the exterior and the elegantly interpreted interior. The structural elements left over from previous interventions served as the starting point for a project that chose to preserve and enhance these elements rather than conceal them, transforming the architectural container into a neutral component on which to weave a contemporary interpretation of the location’s history.
The wine bar and bistro 75 Café and Lounge are housed inside a traditional village house in the heart of the Ponte di Legno mountain resort. The ground floor spaces were transformed into a single area configured around three intercommunicating rooms: a bar area with a counter, a central room with tables and benches, and a lounge area to one side. The Piero Lissoni intervention also included the renovation of the façade with dark stained larch wood cladding, the regularization of the openings, and the expansion of the external terrace.
The SX76 project BY Piero Lissoni proposes, on a smaller scale, the concept of an open-space yacht, a “social” boat that develops into a unique and continuous environment from stern to bow where the interior living space is maximized with the open kitchen adjacent to the dining room, next to the living area, with seamless continuity between the interior and exterior thanks to the large windows overlooking the sea.
