Latest Italian Design News…Baxter is back to Milan with its new furniture store, fullfiled with seats and sofas and all the italian design we know! The historic Milanese President cinema is transformed into a space that’s dedicated to design. Inaugurated on November 12th, the Baxter Cinema reinterprets a space that’s dear to the people of Milan, and which not long ago featured projections of signature films.

The President cinema was one of the first to give importance to the comfort of seats and sofas, becoming a symbol of quality and elegance year by year. Today Baxter inherits not only the space, but its mood, recreating the same comfort with its pieces and opening its doors to a place where one can choose and purchase a furniture objects, feel the theatrical atmosphere of the past, and enjoy a relaxing moment with a drink. A visit to this Milan Store is the perfect excuse to see live Baxter furniture any day of the week!

The building is structured on two floors.The ground floor hosts the windows of the new Baxter design store, where Baxter furniture becomes the absolute main character. Products of extraordinary quality, symbols of a certain “art de vivre”, carried out with rich materials and fine manufacturing. Next to these windows, a Baxter-branded club bar finds its place. Cozy and elegant, this place becomes the perfect meeting-place to relax and have a drink, in a space that must be lived freely, discovering the qualities of our country’s fine raw materials.

A big staircase connects the ground floor to the underground heart of the building. Here beams of light filter through spaces inside the structure itself, creating a fascinating and theatrical atmosphere.

And the real main character of the store is this space, where the original screening area of the cinema was used to welcome visitors. This will be the space which will host events that will take place over time. Moving among the different areas that characterize the space, you can discover collaborations created with the best of different fields. Some corners were covered with a hand-painted wallpaper, created exclusively for Baxter, with irregular geometrical patterns and colour shades that range from green to purplish red.

Then there is an area that was made into a small and refined bookshop, that proposes books dedicated to design; also there’s another area displaying different objects created with our leather. Finally there’s an area thought for the collaboration with Adeo Group; this area presents the “Cinema Suite” project, dedicated to professional home cinemas. All this is controlled by a domotic system that handles all components and functions of the space.

A real store to be discovered, born with the aim of making consumers enter a world that ranges from furniture to cinema or books, or where you can just have a drink ; here all people have a common strong identity, communicated in each detail. Not just a simple product exhibition, but rather a store that becomes recognizable, cozy and familiar.
