The Group, which was founded in 1966 as a result of Piero Ambrogio Busnelli’s entrepreneurial vision, has built its success on its ability to express current culture via design and to predict trends, continually attempting to respond to changes in taste and living necessities.
Antonio Citterio was born in Meda (Milano) in 1950 and founded his design firm in 1972 after graduating from the Politecnico di Milano with a degree in architecture in 1975. Between 1987 and 1996, he collaborated on projects with Terry Dwan, designing structures in Europe and Japan.
There is a square version as well as three rectangle tables. The Mirto Indoor tables come in a variety of styles. The components have a straightforward, reduced-thickness design that includes precise details and a variety of materials and finishes. The table surfaces range from glass reflections to compact marbles to various texture and color variations in wood. The various structure combinations result in a wide range of solutions, including monochromatic ones.
