The language used in the Hannes Peer Architecture design is stratified and eclectic, uniting poetic vision and rigorous design. The studio’s projects are recognizable by their strong iconographic identity, based upon continuous research on colors and materials and the contamination between the various contemporary languages. The style is a mix of traditional and contemporary, the overlapping of different styles, highlighting the respect for historical elements, including and superimposing contemporary elements, giving the whole project a sense of eclecticism and uniqueness.
The projects of Hannes Peer Architecture are sophisticated also in terms of materials. This has much to do with the richness of the palette of elements that are used, such as silk rugs, oxidized metals, aged timbers, surfaces with different transparencies, textural surfaces, etc. The opulence of these textures mixed with the drama of the natural lighting imbues the space with a sense of theatre. The lusciousness of the textures and the theatrical nature of the space undoubtedly carry the stamp of deeply Italian architectural and decorative research.
The current work of the Hannes Peer Architecture studio encompasses a wide range of projects varying in scale including residential, commercial, office, and retail sectors, Italy-wide as well as beyond Italian borders. To name the most relevant projects as of today there are several residential projects in Milan, the headquarters of the brand N°21 in Milan, and the newly opened flagship store of N°21 in Seoul, all published in the most prestigious international interior design magazines.
In 2021 Hannes Peer Architecture was included by AD France for the fourth time in a row in the AD100 list of the best interior designers. In 2019 he participated at AD Interieurs in Paris. Hannes Peer designs collectible furniture pieces for Nilufar Gallery and Blend Gallery in Rome as well as serially produced furniture pieces for LA CHANCE/Paris and SEM – Spotti Edizioni Milano in Milan. Since the beginning of his career, he has constantly designed unique design pieces for private clients and handcrafted prototypes in his atelier for his continuous formal and conceptual design research.
