The wait over this morning! As one of the finest furniture fairs in the world, Salone del Mobile is an annual must-visit for designers, fashionistas and, of course,Milan Design Agenda team. Milan Design Week 2015 started and with it, the hottest furniture design trends will be unveilled daily, and you have an opportunity to see, exclusive and unique, behind-the-scenes look at some of the fab products being previewed by the industry’s leading and up-and-coming brands. MOOOI is the luxury design brand to see at Fuorisalone 2015!
Today, it’s the turn of Dutch design collective Moooi, headed by the marvellous Marcel Wanders. At Milan Design Week 2015, Marcel Wanders launched its very first signature collection of rugs and carpets, either designed by Wanders and his colleagues, or bespoke pieces made up to an individual client’s requirements.

The Moooi flooring portfolio includes works from leading talents such as Jaime Hayon, Studio Job and Nika Zupanc, each beautifully crafted in eye-catching colours by a new printing process called Chromojet, which produces highly realistic photographic designs in high definition.

For example, in the image shown, above, the floor covering is Hexagon Red by Studio Job, while the amazing, kaleidoscopic print seen hanging on display is Jewels Garden by Sacha Walckhoff, the creative director of Maison Christian Lacroix.
With 48 designs to choose from in its signature rug collection, plus 12 broadloom carpets on offer (and another five Jacquard weaves by Marcel Wanders himself) – not forgetting the almost limitless possibilities afforded by the bespoke printing process – Moooi has made comfort and style underfoot a key theme for the year ahead.
