Milan Design Agenda is a few hours to get in Earls Court Exhibition Center to attending to 100% Design London, from 17th to 20th September. But more than assist to a design furniture exhibition with plenty of great exhibitors, London Design Festival 2014 will be known for the following reason: Moroso will celebrate its love for the city of London in its renovated showroom.
A new configuration of its Rosebery Avenue showroom sees the brand take over the entire space, strengthening the company’s presence in the city. The space will be the stage for the exhibition ‘Moroso Loves London’ opening on September 15th, and a special discussion panel of Moroso’s London-based designers the day after.
‘Moroso Loves London’ is a tribute to one of the most interesting, inspiring, eclectic and cosmopolitan cities; one of the places where the brands furniture finds its natural environment. This long-lasting relationship is represented through specially commissioned photographs featuring some of Moroso’s most celebrated designers, each taken at a meaningful London location, together with a piece they have designed for the company. The exhibition is accompanied by an exclusive publication; a newspaper gathering all the images together with written contributions by the designers describing their relationship with London.
Participating designers include: Ron Arad, Ross Lovegrove, Tord Boontje, Doshi & Levien, Martino Gamper, Benjamin Hubert and Raw Edges. If you’re expecting to stay more than you thought , this exhibition will be on display until September 30th.
Besides its important role as visual brand flagship, the Rosebery Avenue showroom is also the commercial heart of Moroso in London, hosting both the home and the contract divisions. It offers tailor made specific consultancy for domestic spaces as well as the most professional custom made advice for architects, specifiers and professionals dealing with public spaces.
