For an entire week, from 8th to 13th April, Milan gave a chance to all iSaloni 2014 and Milan Design Week 2014 visitors to assist and witness, to great design collections and colorfull visual  exhibitions. Among outstanding exhibitors, there were a few that caught Milan Design Agenda attention. Today, under a theme that will prevail for a few weeks or months – isaloni 2014 news and trends – there was a collection, from Kartell, that took over itself all the flashes.

“Precious” , was the word that KARTELL found to establish a connection of this new collection, aimed to share the quality , glamour and “elegant luxury” of Kartell plastic, to become more noble, sophisticated and…precious!

Kartell introduced a new, exclusive and brilliant metal finishes in colours including gold, bronze, silver, gun-metal grey and copper. All this metallization process used by Kartell is a cuttingedge and high-quality process, the result of major research and investments to obtain an impeccable result in terms of appearance, touch, resistance and strength of the varnishes used.

Several Kartell best-sellers are therefore now illuminated with this new metal finish, which has given them a new lease of life.

As in designer Ferruccio Laviani words:
“Precious, yes: this year, plastic has finally achieved its rightful status as a precious, rare and technological material (…)The transparency and colour of the gold surrounds it; the transparency, colour and warmth of the metal is like a necklace of precious stones. A jewel called Kartell”.
