It’s a city best known for its luxury offerings, so when it comes to places to bed down, we wouldn’t expect anything less than the best from Milan. And as one of a handful of legendary hotels in the region, the Four Seasons is doing its bit to stay on top of the game with the launch of two new suites dressed by designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
Best known for his sumptuous interiors in a string of properties from The Savoy in London to The Peninsula in Shanghai, Rochon imprinted his signature grandeur on the Royal Suite, which occupying the entire fifth floor of the hotel, is accessible by a dedicated lift.
The new rooms follow the makeover of the hotel’s spa, which, designed by Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, has been transformed into a chic urban oasis housed under the cosy vaulted ceilings of the building’s former wine cellar. With a 14-metre lap pool, Turkish baths and tailored treatments, guests may never want to leave.
