At Excelsior Gallia Milan, the luxurious Katara Suite, reinforces Marco Piva’s vision, one of the most respectable Italian interior designers at the moment-designed space is the arresting private spa with an enormous hot tub positioned beneath the building’s historic tiled cupola. Excelsior Hotel Gallia, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is an oasis from the bustling city of Milan. With more than 10,700 square feet of living space, it is the largest presidential suite in all of Italy. Guests enjoy two private outdoor terraces and sweeping views of the city’s historic Central Station.
The outdoor space offers even more respite from the city with its lush greenery, Fendi Casa lounge chairs, barbecue, and dining table. In a nod to the hotel’s owner—Katara Hospitality, the Qatar-based global luxury hotel group—there is a tabletop football game outside populated by the Italian and Qatari national teams for friendly matches.
The four-bedroom suite is fitted with custom-designed furnishings and lighting that celebrate the best of Italian design: Murano chandeliers, B&B Italia leather furniture, a Sciabola desk designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, Fendi sofas, Febo armchairs by Maxalto, and elaborate light fixtures by Altreforme and De Majo.
The complete suite of furniture was made entirely by B & B Italy Contract Division , while La Murrina has created the magnificent bright works for the living room, bedroom and Spa.
