Things to do in Milan between 12 and 17 April? Today, we give you a preview of what you can see at Milan Design Week 2016, with a special attention to Brera Design District!
The Clubhouse space in Foro Bonaparte 22, was full of people, when the Brera Design District events were officialy presented. This is one of most important and attended Design Districts at iSaloni and in this year’s edition, will be once again an essential destination of Fuorisalone (April 12 to 17).

“Designing is Listen”, is the theme of 2016 , chosen to indicate listening as principle behind creative and architectural design. Ambassador of BDD is in fact primarily the sound artist Chiara Luzzana that will bring interesting project The Sound of City, which aims to create the soundtrack of the city starting from the characteristic sounds of each (for Milan chose the Brera Design District as a sound soul he best describes the past and present).
In addition to her, as ambassadors, you’ill find Matteo Thun and Holiday Studio which for years have chosen Brera as a destination. And if a good designer places the search and listening at the center, the Design Lessons 2016 award went to Giorgia Lupi, information stationed Italian designer in New York, with her work giving shape to information by analyzing data and transforming them into a story.

The studio Migliore + Servetto Architects will work for space & interiors (Piazza Lina Bo Bardi 1) and celebrities such as Nendo , Jasper Morrison , Fabio Novembre and Mac Stopa will exhibit in the new store Cappellini (Corso di Porta Nuova 9). Patricia Urquiola , with Studiopepe , it will be cc-tapis and Federico Pepe at Pontaccio Area.

Among those present brand stands debut in Fuorisalone Vitra : in via Maroncelli 14 there will CasaVitra with the installation Colour Wheel by Hella Jongerius and, next door, the pop-up store will offer a selection of products and accessories in limited edition . Again: Cristalplant Design Contest + Propeller (in via Solferino 11), bulthaup (via Formentini 12), Daniel Libeskind Rug Collection for Loloey (via Solferino 18), Lin Brasil (via Maroncelli 7), Marimekko (via Palermo 8) and Panasonic (via San Carpoforo 9).
On the occasion of the partnership with Eataly , the store in Piazza XXV Aprile host a series of initiatives aimed at the public as well as an installation signed Kartell by Laufen and the Design & Food lesson open to the public cycle (registration) in the training kitchens of the Oscar store farinetti.
