Famous Fashion Designers: Donatella Versace, is the new face of Givenchy!

Sometimes famous fashion designers make bold moves to introduce their new collections on fashion weeks…but today Milan Design Agenda show you other kind of bold moves, outside catwalk! Donatella Versace has addressed her decision to feature in an autumn/winter 2015 campaign for a fashion house other than her own. The Versace and Versus helmer was tapped by Riccardo Tisci for the new Givenchy campaign that was unveiled a few weeks !

Two of biggest famous fashion designers and major power players working on fashion joined forces! Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisco and Versace’s Donatella Versace, are making a high-impact statement, letting their friendship flag fly in on billboards!

From Givenchy’s Fall 2015 campaign, its star, Versace, took to Instagram to explain the campaign’s vision and her reason for lending her face to a competing brand. “I believe in breaking rules,” the designer wrote. “Riccardo Tisci is extremely talented and above all my dear friend. We are family. I want to get rid of the old system, work together, support each other and make fashion a truly global community.”

Tisci expressed his excitement about her joining the campaign:

“I approached my friend Donatella because she represents what a Fashion Icon is to me. We thought it was time to break boundaries and give a strong message about how to think Fashion.”
