Porta Romana is a big part of Milan’s history: it was once a city gate of Milan, dating back to Roman times when the walls protected the city had gates to enter and exit the city. In this case, the gate was called Porta Romana, because it faced the direction of Rome. Today Porta Romana is adjacent to the city centre and is a shopping district as well as a lively neighborhood with cafes and restaurants.
The cubes represent buildings grouped in a city where Akihisa Hirata incorporates numerous panels covering a series of volumes. Impressive by the similarity to a futuristic metropolis. The intended effect is a feeling of inclusion and harmony.
The exhibition is to enable a stimulating and indulgent dialogue between designers and companies that make the works as new forms of intercultural communication. These artists worldwide, characterized by contribution in research and innovation showcase their vision.
Designed by architect Italo-Brazilian Bo Bardi for your own home, this chair never went into production. A simple and flexible structure (which can be adjusted in different positions) announced a completely new design approach, which reflected – the interaction with the object and provided freedom from thirst – a cultural change.
Life experience. In the exclusive area of Piazza Velasca in Milan, Riflessi opened its first store which houses collections dedicated to the most important forms of contemporary living, design and craftsmanship. Chairs, tables and consoles convertible, mirrors and cupboards above, protagonists of renewed life, tell stories and experiences about the nicest house.
After New York and Paris the little black jacket arrives in Milan. The Rotonda della Besana is an ideal setting for the event which celebrates the iconic black Chanel jacket with 113 photographs signed by the genius of Karl Lagerfeld.
